30 Under 30.

both bobby and ben hundreds of THE HUNDREDS (TH) got nominated for the "30 Under 30": Inc.com's Contest for america's coolest young entrepreneurs. they took #13 and #14, and theres a cool article HERE that talks about both ben and bobby together, but you can only vote for one of them. vote them HERE.

i voted for BOBBY, basically because i love reading his blog, but i have nothing against ben. and plus, in his blog, bobby said to vote for him.

i just voted, and bobby's in the lead with 352 votes. ben is in second, with 140 votes.
...the third place guy has 72. hah. nice.

Common/N.E.R.D. in Bezerkley.

ever seen common or N.E.R.D. in concert before??? i have. in the same show too. it was f*ucking awesome. Pharrell and the rest of the crew opened up the show, and killed it. they played almost everything you could think of from "rockstar", to "spaz", and everything was performed to perfection. me and the rest of the homies literally didnt stop jumping.

pre-show.

the homies that went with me: justin, amin, and reese.

"ohhhhh sh*t!!!! its starting."

pharrell told the security to let the crowd rush the isles so we could get closer. haha. that was cool.

we got closer...

...and closer,

...and closer. i could touch his shoes if i wanted to. (which were vans, btw.)

after N.E.R.D.'s segment of the show, the fire marshals made all of us go back to our seats, because we were in violation of safety procedures. but when common got on, we rushed the isles anyways. too bad we couldn't get as close again.

i promise common is in the picture somewhere.

"we're commonly known as nerds.
- Reese

...the security wouldn't let us back in the building after the show, even though we just wanted to buy some concert shirts. so we found a cool security guard and bribed him with 5 dollars to go in and buy us some. me and justin are holding up our shirts in the picture, just in case you didnt notice.

... and this is just a random pic of amin in the bart station.

.... and for all you people that went to the premium label block party earlier and bought an U.L.A.M shirt, THANK YOU. you guys know who you are, because obviously, i dont.

Year of the Gentleman.

Ne-yo kills it for the third time with his newest album, "Year of the Gentleman", that drops in your local music stores today. i got the album yesterday, but thats because jerwin downloaded it somehow. every song on this album is hot, especially my favorite track on the album by far, "Nobody", which is probably playing out of the imeem music player, if you didn't pause the playback.

oh yeah, jerwin said that if you dont get the album the way he gets it, you dont get two songs. so in other words, if you get it the legal way by buying the cd, purchasing it off of itunes, you get ripped off by two songs. sorry, i dont even know which songs they are.

Covers.

this filipino dude i met who lives in my dorm hall sings craaaaazy good (or should i say "hella good"...? ...nah.). his name is JERWIN FAJARITO. hes been singing since we was in high school, doing covers of the well-know passion and gabe bondoc songs, and a few others. he said he never had a good guitar player accompany him, so i guess thats where i come in.

we've been jamming pretty much every night, and we've even made a few videos. check em out.

our first recorded cover. "lemonade", by passion.

"well done", by passion.

"can't help but wait", by trey songz, "so sick", by ne-yo, both performed "passion style".

let me know what you think, and i'll defintely post more videos when we make them.

Love Lockdown.

did you see the Video Music Awards last night??? personally, i didnt really care about the awards. although im kinda mad that britney spears won 3 moon men, when there were way better-deserving nominees for this year. but whatever. all i cared about was what kanye west was going to reveal... his first single off of his working-title album "Good Ass Job", "Love Lockdown". i know my roommates were pretty disappointed when all they heard was kanye singing and no rapping, but i was pretty pleased. its something different, and i'm pretty sure he would get comments all over the spectrum about it. anyways, despite all the disappointed kanye fans, there are many please kanye fans, such as myself.

watch the performance here

Still In High School.

my high school homie Jason came up to sf for the weekend. He said he would, since he goes to San Jose State, and theres nothing to do in the city of SJ. we did all the typical things people would do while theyre visiting: go to fisherman's wharf, market street, haight street, visit THSF and Huf.. the whole package. i just got back from dropping him off at the CalTrain station.

see you soon pare.

rockin the servite pit crew shirt, of course.
