so i decided that every once in a while, ill post about a talented musician i know about who has influenced me as i continue to practice music (as a hobby).

this time, its DAVID CHOI. unless you've never surfed youtube before, which would be pretty weird, you have at least heard of him. hes this korean dude that records a grip of his covers and uploads them onto youtube. his latest one, which is pretty dope i might add, is "my girl", originally by the temptations. this video inspired me to learn the song as well.


this is, in my opinion, his best original song, written a while back, called "that girl".


dont ask me why he doesnt smile. i really dont know why. maybe its physically impossible for him to do so.

The Mexican Assassin Strikes Again.

last night, the undisputed hero for pinoys and pinays alike, manny "pacman" pacquiao, won another fight in vegas, against david diaz, the former holder of the WBC lightweight title. i say former, because the fight was for the title, and obviously, manny claimed it. the fight was a complete rampage by manny, winning every round, and knockin diaz out in the 9th round (before the fight, i called 6).

i just got home from watchin a sick action flick you most definitely heard of, Wanted. im so sure that you've heard of it, that im not even gunna say what its about. all im gunna say that the story is pretty twisted, and even watching from the second to front row in the theater, it was an action-packed experience. a definite must-see.



now i gotta catch the disney movie Wall-E. looks pretty tight.


oh, btw. i went job hunting today. Pinkberry on imperial and idaho in la habra gave me an interview the same day, and they told me i start on sunday at 3. nice! come visit me, and MAYBE i can hook it up. if not, then fill out a comment card saying that kiko is a very hard-working employee. =]

Love Heals.

to help raise awareness of the genocide in Darfur, AJ Rafael, and his choir MoVal Choir Chorale (MVCC) are holding the "Love Heals! Concert, 2008" this friday AND sunday at the St. Patrick Parish in moreno valley. 50% of the earnings go to the darfur benefit, and the other 50% goes to the parish. the show features aj rafael and his choir mvcc, and other great artists, including OVID, Nature in Notes, RJ de la Fuente, Cathy Nguyen, Randolph Permejo, Justin J (on the 27th), All Else Fades, and Kina Grannis (on the 29th). so if youre over in moreno valley on the 27th or 29th, be sure to check it out. remember, its for a great cause.

damn... remember that one guy that used to be on the lakers? he was really big, thought he was superman AND a rapper, and sucked ass on his freethrows??? what was his name? hmm... oh yeahhh.. SHAQ. hahah. no one in southern california has been thinkin about this guy, especially since kobe is, and has been, the understood leader of los angeles basketball (no one cares about the clippers.... jk jk). but anyways, im just browsin myspace when i see a featured video of shaq just rippin on kobe about how kobe cant win without him, and how kobe is the one who caused his divorce. haha.. wow. shaq, no one cares about you anymore. im not even sure if your team made the playoffs. thats how out of my mind you are. all while kobe and the lakers made it all the way to the finals... not to mention kobe winning the MVP award. and you start rippin on kobe, just because he didnt win. that gives you no excuse to do such a thing. whateva shaq, kobes probaby in fiji or something like that right now, so he probably hasnt even heard about this stunt u pulled. maybe thats why u did it? he wont be around to answer?



dont get me wrong, i respected shaq before, even when he went to miami. winning a ring there and everything, good sh*t. but this just makes me lose all respect for him.

i woke up to the loud laughter of my little 5 year-old cousin indigo (yeah, his name is really indigo). turns out that my uncle george and aunt valerie had their baby last night, so they had to drop off indigo at my house for the night. so i guess i played babysitter for the day.

I'm Lagging.

i just found out about this "Boston (Celtics) Sucks" shirt that Undefeated and Lamar Odom of the Lakers created... it was made for game 3 of the series, and was dropped on June 7th in Undefeated's Online Shop.. but dont waste time looking in there anymore.. its too late to pick up a fresh new one. only way to get one now is to find it on ebay or something.

Still Alive.

the lakers had to win today, or the championship would have gone to boston. good thing lakers won! haha. 103-98. series score is 3-2. this win forces the finals series to a game 6. the lakers are still alive, but if they want to win the title, they have to win the next two games in boston. coming back from a 3-1 deficit to win in the finals has never been done before, but who ever said that it will NEVER happen?
